Ciao, and welcome to my blog. I get so many questions about my Italian import business and my travels and adventures in Italy . . . I thought a blog is a good place to put the information. For my first entry I'll briefly describe what we do so you'll know how we get all those lovely ceramics home!
Four Large Suitcases
We go to Italy at least once a year to buy ceramics and other Italian goodies (Florentine paper, Venetian masks, Murano glass) to sell at special events and local Farmers Markets. We also offer home parties - that could be a subject of another post!
We leave the US with four of the largest suitcases that the airlines will allow and all four are full of bubble wrap. Yes, filled with bubble wrap. Our clothing and other items are all in our carry-ons. We specialize in smaller items just so that we can more easily carry them home in the above mentioned suitcases. Inevitably, we buy much more than will fit in the suitcases and I have to ship a few boxes home.
Since 2001 I have enjoyed the beautiful countryside, outstanding food, talented artisans and amazing cities throughout Italy. In future posts I'll tell you about my adventures along the way.
